Sudcargos was formed as a joint venture of the SNCM (40%) and Delmas (60%). In September 2005, the CMA-CGM became the full owner of Sudcargos after the takenover of Delmas and the withdrawal of the SNCM.
Sudcargos operated then a fleet of eight cargo ships serving Algeria and Tunisia.
