Le Gualès de Mézaubran is an old Breton noble family. François Le Gualès de Mézaubran was Royal Procurator and Seneschal in Lannion at the end of the 16th century.
Viscount Alain Le Gualès de Mézaubran (1860-1933) was born in
Légué, the port borough of the town of Saint-Brieuc. He owned three ships named Saint-Brieuc, Yolande and Dinard. To watch them in the port, he let build in 1880-1885 on the hill dominating the town a manor in Italian style, known as Château Le Gualès (photo) or Villa Rohamet. He served also as the President of the Committee of the Breton Shipowners.
