The municipality of La Frette-sur-Seine (4,555 inhabitants in 2008; 202 ha) is located on river Seine, 25 km downstream from Paris. The town was the last residence of the French writer Jacques Chardonne (1884-1968).
Sport Nautique de la Frette (SNF, website), founded in 1960, has a membership of 120. Its burgee is horizontally divided red-yellow with a white sailboat whose spinnaker bears the black letters "SNF", placed vertically.
