The municipality of Cattenom (2,615 inhabitants in 2009; 2,553 ha), located close to the border with Luxembourg, is mostly known for its nuclear power plant.
The Association Nautique de la Communauté de Communes de Cattenom (Nauticat, website) was founded on 28 September 1992. The club flag is yellow with the club logo in black. The reactors of the plant are shown on the club logo.
