The municipality of Entrammes (2,268 inhabitants in 2018; 2,616 ha) is located 10 km south of Laval.
Entrammes was established near a major ford across the Mayenne and Jouanne rivers, crossed there by the old road connecting Le Mans to Rennes. A town covering approximately 55 hectares was already settled during the first century BC.
