Pontonx-sur-l'Adour (2,932 inhabitants in 2021; 4,942 ha) is a commune in the Landes department.
The name Pontonx probably comes from the Latin “pontones”: a boat bridge established on the Adour was used to cross the river. There was also once a boat port which provided river traffic between the port of Mont-de-Marsan and the port of Bayonne.

The flag of Pontonx-sur-l'Adour, observed in 2011, was white with logo: photo.
A new logo was adopted in 2020 [source: Sud-Ouest].
I don’t know yet if a new flag with the current logo is in use.
