Vias (5,882 inhabitants in 2021; 3,249 ha) is a commune in the Hérault department.
It is a popular holiday destination, with many camp and caravan sites,
and is located in the "Plaine viticole", a small agricultural region
occupying the coastal strip of the Hérault department.
The town has a remarkable natural heritage: two Natura 2000 sites,
three protected areas and nine natural areas of ecological, faunal and
floristic interest.
