Trégueux (2,899 inhabitants in 2020; 1,110 ha) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in northwestern France.
The parish of Trélivan has existed since the 12th century. It was already called Trélivan in 1182, but was not conceived as such until 1266 and belonged to the diocese of Saint-Malo. It is linked to the development of the Château de Vaucouleurs where several families succeeded one another (de Guitté, d'Espinay, du Breil de Pontbriand, de Bruc, Guéhenneuc de Boishue). In 1248, Alain d'Espinay, Marquis de Vaucouleurs, took part in the crusade led by Saint Louis.
The arms of the family de Guitté are Azure, a cross Argent. The coat of arms of Trélivan is blazonned Azure, a cross ermine.
