Langueux (7,824 inhabitants in 2020; 907 ha) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in northwestern France, near Saint-Brieuc.
In 460, Fragan, chief of insular Brittany crosses the Channel to settle in Armorican Brittany with his wife Gwenn, his sons Guethenoc and Jacut and a small suite. He goes up the Gouët, and settles on the current territory of the city of Ploufragan to which it owes its name (Plou Fracan). His son Guethenoc will give his name to Langueux which was still called in the thirteenth century Lan-Guethenoc and to Trégueux (Tre-Guethenoc).
Langueux has no coat of arms. The logo of Langueux shows the drawing of a seagull in blue and the name of the commune in black.
