Ensign for ships belonging to the Army which operated in North African waters 1934-1936, according to the Order of 27th December 1934. Same as the national flag with the caption "COMPAÑIA DE MAR" (sea company) centred on the purple stripe in white lettering. It was abolished when the pre-1931 flag was readopted in August 1936, since the (Spanish) North African territories were among the first to be taken by the rebel troops in the early days of the civil war.
