Mr. Luis San Miguel Alberdi, president of Castro Urdiales Nautic Club, has informed me that the new design is a retrieval of the original burgee flown in 1954, when the club was established. The logo on the canton is the CoA of the municipality of Castro Urdiales. I used the drawing of Eduardo Panizo, with his permission. You can see a bigger image of this arms at his webpage.

Burgee of Club Náutico Castro Urdiales (Cantabria). It is made out of the register flag of Santander (later Cantabria), white and red; with a green cross at the flag's third to the mast, derived from Spanish tradition of using the Burgundy cross.
