The flag and arms of Villalazán are prescribed by a Decree adopted on
11 February 1998 by the Zamora Provincial Government, signed on 3 March 1998 by the
President of the Government, and published on 16 March
1998 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 51 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, with proportions 2:3, made of a red vertical stripe placed along the hoist of 1/3 the flag's length, charged with a Mozarabic cross, the rest of the flag with seven equal wavy stripes, four blue and three white.
Coat of arms: Argent fesses wavy azure mantled gules a rhomb with a Mozarabic cross argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
