The municipality of Erustes (207 inhabitants in 2018 vs. 501 in 1960; 952 ha) is located 60 km west of Toledo and 30 km west of Torrijos.

Symbols of Erustes

The flag of Erustes (photo, photo) is prescribed by an Order issued on 26 May 1993 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 2 June 1993 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 40, p. 2,986 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Two horizontal stripes of the same size, the upper, celestial blue, the lower, yellow. An acute green triangle running from the hoist to the flag's geometric center. Centered on the triangle, the Erustes tower, or.

The coat of arms of Erustes is prescribed by an Order issued on 26 May 1993 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 2 June 1993 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 40, pp. 2,986-2,987 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Vert the Erustes tower or, 2. Azure a calrdon chequy or and gules surrounded by two saltires or in base and in chief. Grafted in base, abunch of grapes or with two leaves of the same. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.

The parish church of Erustes (photos) was registered a National Historical and Artistic Monument by Decree No. 3,166, issued on 7 November 1975 by the Spanish Government and published on 3 December 1975 in the Spanish officiul gazette, No. 290, pp. 25,226-25,227 (text).
The church was built in Mudéjar style, with three naves ended with square chapels. The northern lateral nave opens by a Renaissance gate; narrower, the southern nave opens by a porticco supported by four stones columns decorated with Doric capitals.
The oldest part of the building (late 14th-early 15th century) is the tower surmounting the main nave. It highlights the adaptation of the minarets to the Christian sancturaries.
