Ivan Sache, 16 March 2018
The flag and arms of Berrocal de Salvatierra are prescribed by an
Agreement adopted on 6 November 2017 by the Municipal Council, signed on
27 November 2017 by the Mayor and published on 4 December 2017 in the
official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 232, pp. 50,198-50,199 (text).
The symbols, which are supported by a memoir redacted by Ricardo Gil
Turrión and were validated on 5 June 2017 by the Chronicler of Arms of Castilla y León, are described as follows.
Flag: Quadrangular, in proportions 1:1. Blue with a yellow triangle placed along the hoist and reaching the fly, charged with the municipal coat of arms placed from the hoist at 1/8 of the flag's width.
Coat of arms: Spanish shield rounded-off in base. Azure a fess wavy argent in base surmounted by a five-arched bridge or surmounted by a slate heap gray surmounted by the tower of the parish church or. The shield surmounted by a Royal Spanish crown.
Earler version of the flag - Image by Ricardo Gil Turrión, 16 March 2018
The arms feature the village's landmark, the tower of the parish church (photo,

erected in 1744 for 12,000 reales, and the bridge over brook
Navalcuervo (photo), a tributary of river Alhandiga, most probably of Roman origin.
The rocky heap (berrocal) was white in the first version of the
proposed arms; Llorente Maldonado mentions a heap of slate or marble,
but white makes the composition much harmonious.
The first version of the proposed flag included five white quartz rocks
placed vertically along the fly.
