En campo de sinople fileteado de prata, unha ponte moderna de ouro sobre ondas de azur e prata, sumada dun faro de ouro con catro faces de luz saíntes da lanterna, dous en cada lado; bordura de azur cargado de trece vieiras de prata. Ao timbre, a coroa real pechada.
Decreto 174/2008, do 17 de xullo, polo que se aproba o escudo do Concello da Illa de Arousa (Pontevedra).
In a field vert bordered argent, a modern bridge or above waves of azure and argent, topped with a lighthouse or with four beams of light emanating from its lantern, two on each side; bordure of azure charged with thirteen scallops argent. Surmounted by closed royal crown.
