The municipality of San Cebrián de Campos (468 inhabitants in 2010; 3,250 ha; municipal website) is located 30 km from Palencia.
San Cebrián de Campos, once known as San Cebrián de las Amayuelas (Amayuelas de Abajo [Lower] and Amayuelas de Arriba [Upper]), was resettled in the 10th century by Gutier Ferná:ndez and Toda Díaz. Amayuelas de Abajo is today a village (20 inh.) belonging to the municipality, while San Juan de la Vecilla, once owned by the Order of St. John, is a deserted village.

The flag and arms of San Cebrián de Campos are prescribed by a Decree
adopted on 23 August 1999 by the Palencia Provincial Government,
signed on 1 September 1999 by the President of the Government, and
published on 16 September 1999 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 180, p. 9,148 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: 2:3, made of a white saltire throughout, the upper and lower triangles red, the triangle at hoist green and the triangle at fly blue.
Coat of arms: Quarterly per saltire, 1. Gules two palms argent, 2. Argent two fesses wavy azure, 3. Gules a Cross of St. John argent, 4. Argent three spikes vert. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
