The Municipality of Campillo de Arenas in the Province of Jaen, Andalucia, has its own symbols approved by the General Directorate of Local Administration on 11.11.2019.
Description: «Shield quartered in a cross: 1st Gules, a gold castle masoned sable and windows azure. 2nd Argent, a rampant lion purpure, armed and langued gules, and crowned or. 3rd Or a mount vert with a ruined castle on its summit, gules masoned sable and windows or. 4th Gules, a silver sword hilted with gold placed in bend. The crest is a closed royal crown.
It presents slight variations from the shield that was used up to that time and whose description was: Quarterly. First, gules, a castle or, masoned sable and windows gules. Second, argent, a lion gules crowned or. Third, or, a mount proper surmounted by a ruined castle argent. Fourth, or, a sword argent hilted or. Crest: a closed royal crown.
Meaning: The first two quarters represent the kingdom of Castile and León. The third quarter is the Castle of Arenas, which is currently in ruins.
Description: "Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, formed by two vertical stripes in proportions ¼ and ¾ interlocked, red at the hoist and white at the fly with four white enclaves and with the municipal coat of arms in the center of the white surface."
