The flag of Villarta is prescribed by an Order issued on 25 October 2011
by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 18 November
2011 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 226, p. 38,446 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular panel in proportions 2:3, made of two horizontal equal stripes, the upper white and the lower red, and of a green triangle placed along the hoist and extending on 1/3 of the flag's length.
The coat of arms of Villarta is prescribed by an Order issued on 25
October 2011 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 18
November 2011 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 226, p.
38,445 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Argent a "Peña rodera" gules, 2. Gules a God's lamb argent. Grafted in base vert a bunch of grapes or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
The Royal Academy of History rejected previously proposed arms: "The
proposed design is unacceptable, being absolutely non compliant with the
proper norms of heraldry. It has to be changed so that it can be
understood as a coat of arms belonging to a Castilian and Spanish
municipality.
