According to Manual del Estado Español (text), the "historical" [meaning there is no known adoption date] flag of Soria Province is purple with the provincial coat of arms in the center.

The "historical" coat of arms of Soria Province (official website) is:
Quarterly:
1. Argent a grapevine with three bunches of grape (Agreda);
2. Argent a fig tree cantonned with pamelas (Almazán);
3. Azure a man on a white horse holding dexter a spear pointing to the ground (Medinaceli);
4. Gules a fortified castle (Osma);
Inescutcheon oval, the bordure charged with the motto "Soria pure, cabeza de estremadura" [Pure Soria, capital of the extreme lands], gules a castle argent on the donjon the bust of King Alfonso VIII. Bordure argent with nails.
The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
Quarters 3. and 4. are indeed swapped on the arms.
The arms are a patchwork of the arms of the Legal Districts (partidos
judiciales) forming the province.
