The municipality of Campo Lugar (906 inhabitants in 2016, 7,300 ha) is located 80 km southeast of Cáceres. The municipality is made of the villages of Campo Lugar and Pizarro (451 inh.), established in 1964 as a colony.

The flag of Campo Lugar, adopted on 26 March 2003 by the Municipal Council and validated on 6 February 2003 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, is prescribed by an Order issued on 23 April 2003 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 8 May 2003 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 53, p. 6,604 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Vertically divided in the center, made of a green panel at hoist and a white panel at fly. Charged in the center with the coat of arms.
The coat of arms of Campo Lugar, adopted on 20 March 1987 by the Municipal Council and validated on 19 June 1987 by the Royal Academy of History, is prescribed by an Order issued on 8 July 1987 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 14 July 1987 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 55, pp. 910-911 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per fess, 1. Argent a cross of Alcántara vert, 2. Vert two interlaced wheat spikes or a maize cob of he same in pale. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
The Royal Academy of History validated the proposed arms, requiring the suppression of the two waves, representing water, "the source of life in the past", from the second quarter, and the replacement of the knight's helmet surmounting the shield by a Royal crown closed.
The first quarter recalls that the village belonged to the Order of Alcántara, while the second quarter alludes to the agricultural resources.
