The flag of Sitges in Barcelona province is flown at hotels, campings and at the harbour, but I ignore whether it is official and if there is any actual difference with the English flag.
Antoni Braza, 09 Mar 2000
The only difference with the English flag is that the Sitges one, shows the coat-of-arms in the center (Spanish shape, red, with a yellow castle superimposed by a white cross patée (looks like an Iron Cross), bigger that the cross' arms. The proportions are also different – the Sitges flag is 2:3. It is not official, because is does not meet with the legal dispositions of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan autonomous government). Perhaps, the City Council adopted it, but it will not be legal until the Generalitat's approval.
