The municipality of Navalosa (394 inhabitants in 2009; 3,000 ha) is located in the south of Ávila Province, 60 km of Ávila.

The flag and arms of Navalosa are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 18 November 2000 by the Municipal Council, signed on 29 April 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 12 June 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 113, p. 9,070 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Quartered green, yellow and red, with the coat of arms of Burgohondo [sic] in the middle.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1a. Gules nine bezants or 3 + 3 + 3, 1b. Gules a chozo argent, 2. Vert a two-arched bridge or over waves argent and azure. The shield surmounted with the Royal Spanish crown.
The erroneous description of the flag (Burgohondo instead of Navalosa) was corrected by a Decree signed on 8 July 2001 by the Mayor and published on 19 July 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 140, pp. 11,052-11,053 (text).
A chozo is a traditional hut, made of stone walls roofed with an oak skeleton covered with broom straw (see La riqueza patrimonial y natural de Navalosa (Ávila): Los "corrales" y el río Alberche [text]).
