In the province of Alicante, there are several municipalities that have a monocoloured flag with the municipal coa in the center. The municipality of Alcoleja (in Spanish, Alcolecha; 213 inhabitants; 14.56 km²) is located in the Province of Alacant (Alicante), in the comarca of El Comtat.

In the Apanish Wikipedia one can see a photo of the Tower of Marqués de Malferit, represented in the CoA, with the symbol of St. Vincent Ferrer, patron of the population. You can see the CoA itself at http://www.vexilologia.es/alicante/a_e_01.htm. Resolución de 26 de julio de 1994, del conseller de Administración Pública (DOGV núm. 2.350, de 21 de septiembre de 1994 – BOE núm. 291, de 27 de septiembre de 1994)
Descripción
«Escudo cuadrilongo de punta redonda, partido. En el primer cuartel, en campo de gules, una torre de oro, mazonada y aclarada de sable. En el segundo cuartel, en campo de azur, una montaña de plata, surmontada de una llama de oro. Al timbre, corona real abierta.»
Fundamentos
La torre del municipio junto con el simbolo de san Vicente Ferrer, patrón de la población.
