the flag is white with the logo.

Based on the photograph linked in Paul's e-mail from 27 July, the flag
features the airline's logo in dark blue centered on a white field. Beneath the
logo is the phrase "A STAR ALLIANCE MEMBER" with the Star Alliance logo toward
the fly, denoting EgyptAir's membership in the airline alliance.

"British Alan Muntz, Chairman of Airworsh Services Limited, visited Egypt in
1931; at that time, he expressed his intention of starting up a new airline in
the country. The new enterprise was named Misr Airwork, with ″Misr″ being
Arabic for Egypt. On December 31, 1931, the Egyptian government (then under
British control) granted Muntz an exclusive franchise to provide airline
services in the country government granted the new company the exclusivity of
air transport operations. A division of Misr Airwork named Misr Airlines was
established on 7 June 1932, which is the date adopted as the foundation for
 Egypt Air (Arabic: مصر
للطيران , Maṣr leṭ-Ṭayarān). It is the flag carrier
of Egypt and a State-owned company. In 1946 the name was changed from مصر
إيرلاينز (English: Egypt Airlines, transliterated to Misr Airlines) to مصر إير
(English: Egypt Air, transliterated to MisrAir). In 1960 it merged with الخطوط
الجوية السورية (English: Syrian Airlines) to form شركة الطيران العربية المتحدة
(English: United Arab Airlines, UAA). In 1971 the former two companies split,
with MisrAir becoming EgyptAir. In July 2002, by القرار الجمهوري رقم 137/ 2002
(English: Republican Resolution (more commonly known as Presidential Decree)
No. 137), EgyptAir became a Holding company with seven subsidiaries.

The airline's logo has always been the head of Horus, a falcon, an
Ancient Egyptian deity. The new logo is in consequence for the
association
 with StarAlliance (https://www.egyptair.com/ar/about-egyptair/Pages/star-alliance).

This is the current flag and notice there's a silver fringe, thus making
it a variant of the image by Randy.
