(1502-1548) was the younger half-brother of the more famous
Francisco Pizzaro. For more details see wikipedia.

Ecuadorian municipalities. On this source, the flag is in
proportions c. 4:7, with unequal stripes, c. 3:4:3, and the
triangle reaching c. 40% of the flag length.
