The canton was formed on 8 December 1962.
The flag of Sucu'a is horizontally divided green-white-yellow.
Green symbolizes the richness of the vegeations, white the
quietness, peace and purity of the inhabitants and yellow the
richness of its soil. The finial of the flagstaff is ared condor,
symbolizing the sacrifice of the sons of the canton.
The flag and arms are shown, graphically, on the municipal website, without
further comment.
