Description

The flag of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation can be seen in photographs online, particularly at http://miderec.gob.do/miderec-honra-padres-fundadores-por-el-mes-de-la-patria/. The flag features the Ministry's logo centered on a white field. The logo contains the colors of the national flag in two swooping marks of blue, white, and red, with three interlocking rings between the swoops. The logo is topped by a flame in the same colors, with green leaves flanking the logo, and the Ministry's acronym (MIDEREC) in black letters beneath.

About the Ministry

The Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Ministerio de Deportes y Recreación, MIDEREC) is the part of the Dominican Republic government responsible for organizing, directing, regulating, and executing all sports activities of the country in cooperation with the Ministry of Education's development of national physical education and sports programs. The Ministry of founded in 1974.
