The logo flag is white with a dark blue logo version of the coat of arms at hoist and a centred dark blue inscription "KØGE KOMMUNE" at bottom.

Shield Or, issuant from base two hills Vert with waves Azure between them, issuant from the waves a bridge Gules connecting a tower Gules masoned Sable at dexter and a cross patty Gules at sinister, between both an impending royal coronet Or,
issuant from chief is an arm Azure in bend with a hand Argent swearing an oath.
Meaning:
Seals from the 13th century only displayed the oath hand. The first city arms are based on a seal from 1421. They displayed bridge, waves, hand, cross and coronet.
The bridge is a representation of the crossing over the Køge Å, a small local river, represented by the waves. The other charges are symbolising the protection of the city by God, represented by hand and cross, and King, represented by coronet.
The tower was added at least in 1574, perhaps already in 1519. It is most likely a symbol for the local church.
