In 1906 the company Albert Hauschild (shipbroker) was founded. In 1956 Mr. Armin Klingenberg joined the company and took over 100% of the sahres in 1966. Between 1970 and 1975 he built at the Netherlands and in Germany a fleet of 5 vessels for trading timber and forest products from Scandinavia to Europe and North Africa. In 1987 Mr. Thies Klingenberg joined the company. In 1991 the company started its activities with Shipsnewbuildings in China. In 1992 the Klingenberg Bereederungs- & Befrachtungs OHG, a special feeder service and feeder container vessels, was founded. On 18 July 2006 Messrs. Albert Hauschild celebrated the 100th anniversary. The current (2019) fleet has 10 vessels, mainly built in China and all having female Christian names. Mr. Armin Klingenberg died on 15 April 2015.

of Albert Hauschild (GmbH & Co.), which contains the houseflag of said firm, as well as the rather similar flag of Klingenberg Bereederungs- und Befrachtungs OHG. Klingenberg's flag is: white with broken capitals: green A, and black K.
