Shield Gules a nimbed eagle reguardant Argent with an inescutcheon Azure on his breast, charged with a fleur-de-lis Argent.
Meaning:
The eagle is representing Neumünster Abbey and is the attribute of its patron saint St. John the Evangelist. The fleur-de-lis is taken from the arms of thr Knights of St. Burkardt Abbey in Würzburg.
