Municipality of Rosengarten
Municipality of Rosengarten (Harburg county / Lower Saxony).
Description of flag:
It is a green over yellow bicolour with the coat of arms in its centre.
The ratio of flag is 3:5.
Description of coat of arms:
In the centre of a golden (=yellow) shield is a red rose, topped by
a prancing black horse, facing the right side. Below the rose is a garland
consisting of ten green oak leaves.
Meaning:
The rose is symbolizing the name of the municipality. The horse has
the same shape like that of Lower Saxony. The leaves are symbolizing the
ten municipalities, Rosengarten was built of Tötensen, Ehestorf, Vahrendorf,
Sottorf, Leversen, Sieversen, Langenrehm, Emsen, Iddensen and Nenndorf.
According to source the flag is dated from 16 July 1981. I spotted
the coat of arms in Tötensen on 28 March 2007.
