Shield Argent, on top of a mount Vert issuant from base three towers Gules with port and windows Sable and topped by black crosslets.
Meaning:
A local seal from the 17th century displayed a similar images with a higher central tower. Since the 19th century the towers have equal height. The crosslets are alluding to the Hersfeld Abbey, to which the area belonged. The towers are considered to be a representation of the old three city gates. Berka gained city rights in 1847.
