It is a black -red plain, vertical bicolour.

Later in Hormann and Plaschke 2006 there are banners of the predecessors of Baden-Württemberg: All have arms. But the caption is somehow indifferent saying: "Independent from 1945 to 1952, arms and state flags of Württemberg Hohenzollern, (South) Baden, Württemberg-Baden. So in the end those flags are doubtful. In case of South Baden we have evidence from source above, which shows however the other flags without arms.
Nevertheless the arms should be described here (numbers corresponding with flags above:

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is quartered, displaying three black attires in a golden (= yellow) field in the 1st and 4th quarter. The other quarters are thrice divided per fess into black and red. Note that Hohenzollern is not represented in these arms. I can't imagine that the shield's fimbriation (white and black) represents Hohenzollern.

These three are reproductions from Schroeder 1953 where you can find a whole series of hanging flags of the states, plus those of East German states (but with the pre-1933 arms) and Eastern territories under Soviet or Polish administration. The whole series is therefore very doubtful what regards the details. However, it is rather plausible that at least some usage of Württemberg-Baden flags with arms occurred.
