It is a red-white vertical bicolour with a dancetty line of partiton. The coat of arms is shifted towards the bottom and in the white field.

Shield Sable, on top of a mount issuant Or a draw well Argent.
Meaning:
The draw well exists for at least 500 years. It is the well of a former chapel, dedicated to St.Leonard. The well had become a landmark of the village. The tinctures black and white are those of the Teutonic Order, which owned large estates in the village, and of the Burgraves of Nürnberg, who acquired the village in 1371.

The arms were approved on 23 April 1956 by Minister of Interior of Bayern. The banner, displaying the Franconian rake, had never been approved officially.
