The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a red over white horizontal bicolour with the coat of arms in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver(=white) field is a vertical red chain with both outer rings broken.
Meaning:
According to source these had been the arms of the lords of Bönen, who had died out long ago.
