Shield parted per fess, above Azure an apple Or on a book of the same, beneath Argent a water-lily leaf Vert.
Meaning:
Golden apple and book are attributes of St. Nicholas, the local patron saint. The leaf is a differentiation of the arms of the Benedictine Tegernsee Abbey, manorial lord between the 8th century and 1803, when the abbey was secularised. Blue and white are the tinctures of Bayern and the Wittelsbach kin.
