Bad Dürrenberg is a town of 12,000 inhabitants in Merseburg-Querfurt county in the south of Saxony-Anhalt. On 23 June 2017 the city gained the title "Solestadt", that means "natural brine city".

It is a white-red vertical bicolour. The arms are shifted to the top and fimbriated white.

The white-red bicolour is normally used without the arms and was re-introduced in 1990.

Shield Gules with base wavy Azure, issuant from base a tower Argent with port and windows Sable and stairs Argent having three steps.
Meaning:
The tower is a local landmark, the Borlach Tower, being part of the namesake museum with exhibitions about salt mining. The base wavy is representing Saale River.

The arms were approved on 15 April 1947 by Minister of Interior of Saxony-Anhalt. Flag and banner were approved on 3 April 2918 by the county administration. The plain flag was re-adopted in 1990.
