Shield Argent a lion rampant Gules, in a canton Gules a white right hand.
Meaning:
The lion ist he heraldic animal of the Benedictine Weingarten Abbey, which owned large estates and became the main manorial lord in the village since the 14th century. The tinctures are alluding to Austria, as the region was administrated by the Austrian Reeves of Schwaben. The hand, according to source swearing an oath (German: Schwurhand), is taken from the arms of the Lords of Ankenreute, whose seat had been in the former hamlet of Oberankenreute.

The arms were approved on 23 February 1955 by the government of Baden-Württemberg. The banner probably had never been approved officially.
