Shield Argent, at dexter a lozenge Azure, at sinister a water-lily leaf Vert with stem, hanging at an enhanced bendlet wavy Azure.
Meaning:
The leaf is taken form the arms of the Edling kin from Wasserburg, who owned large estates in and around Edling. They had been stewards of the abbey in Rott upon Inn. The lozenge is representing the Benedictine Attel Abbey, the most important manorial lord in Edling in the 17th and 18th century. The arms of the abbey displayed since 1440 three blue lozenges in a silver shield, in order to honour the Saline Count Engelbert of Wasserburg, refounder of the abbey and its important promoter. Edling was incorporated by the neighbouring Wasserburg City in 1978 but regained its independence in 1981 by a legal dispute.
