Shield Gules abased parted by a pall wavy Argent, in chief two swords flambant Or in saltire.
Meaning:
The flaming sword is an attribute of St. Michael, the local patron saint. A picture of the angel was already displayed on a village seal from the 2nd half of the 18th century. The pall wavy is symbolising the confluence of the rivers Streu, name giver of the village, and Saale. The tinctures white and red are those of the Bishopric of Würzburg, to which Heustreu belonged until 1803.
