Pörnbach Coat of Arms

Shield Argent parted by a bar wavy Azure, above three heraldic roses Gules seeded Or ordered 2:1, beneath a post horn Gules.
Meaning:
The blue bar wavy is representing the suffix "-bach", a creek. The roses are taken from the family arms of the Counts of Töörring, who owned the Pörnbach District (Bavarian: Hofmark) between 1663 and 1848. Pörnbach had been the seat of administration of nine joined districts as follows: Pörnbach proper, Euernbach, Göbelsbach, Tegernbach, Ritterswörth, Burgstall, Eschelbach, Förnbach and Puch. The counts also had the local cognisance since 1819/1820. The horn is stressing the importance of Pörnbach for the regional traffic, as it had been a junction for railways and roads as well. Since 1803 the village had a coaching inn.

Banner and arms were approved on 7 June 1977 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern. The banner has never been approved officially.
