Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a fess dancetty Gules, at sinister Vert an embattled tower Argent with three oak leaves of the same in fan and issuant from the central embattlement.
Meaning:
The fess dancetty is taken from the arms of the Benedictine Geisenfeld Nunnery, which had been founded in 1037 by Count Eberhard of Ebersberg. The village had been part of the endowment of the nunnery, which had been an important manorial lord until its secularisation in 1803. The tower is referring to a building (local language: Gaden) built by a man named Ernst. It had the characteristics of a tower and had been part of a local fortification. Margarve Ernst the Younger of Hohenburg-Murach donated his estate in Ernsgaden to the Geisenfeld Nunnery in the 11th century. In 1130 members of the Wittelsbach kin became reeves of the nunnery. The fess dancetty had been also the oldest coat of arms of the kin. The leaves are representing the Feilenforst, a local forest and hunting ground.
