Meaning:
The clover leaf (trefoil) is a canting symbol, the name can be derived from Waldwiese, a forest-meadow. The leaf is referring to Wiesche (=meadow) in the name. The base displays a bronze cross dating from the 9th century, which was excavated near the village. It is symbolising the long inhabitation of the area.
