Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a sinister facing wolf rampant Gules, at sinister Azure three crescents addorsed ordered 2:1, the low one in bend sinister.
Meaning:
The wolf is a differentiation of the arms of the Bishopric of Passau. The village was donated to the bishopric together with the Benedictine Niedernburg Nunnery in 1161 by Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa. The bishopric ruled the village until 1803 and had also been the manorial lord. The crescents display the family arms of the Lords of Puchberg, the oldest known manorial lord in Büchlberg, which became their ancestral seat. The tinctures blue and white are those of the Kingdom of Bayern, which acquired the bishopric in the early 19th century.

The banner has never been approved officially. The arms were approved on 20 January 1958 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
