Shield Argent, on top of the central peak of a triplemount Vert issuant a cross trefly of the same, flanked by two black horns of an ox, chief Gules charged with a barrulet wavy Argent.
Meaning:
Horns and triplemount together are canting, referring to the name giving Auerberg, i.e. "mount of the ox". The barrulet wavy is representing the dewatered Stötten Lake and local creeks. The trefoil, blazoned as cross trefly, is stressing the rural character of the municipality. The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg. Stötten had been seat of a forestry district of the bishopric between 1510 and 1804.
