Description of flag:
The ratio is 3:5. It is a blue flag divided by three yellow, wavy, horizontal lines. The coat of arms is slightly shifted to the hoist. The base is covering the wavy lines.

Description of coat of arms:
In a golden (= yellow) shield above a base of blue and silver (=white) waves are two lighthouses, mainly red.
Meaning:
The lighthouses are those of Dahmeshöved. They are the landmark of the municipality. A fire had been here since time immemorial. Since the middle of the 20th century Dahme is a spa and tourism replaced agriculture and fishing as the main business line.
