Meaning:
Hofstetten belonged to Fürstenberg since the 16th century and to Baden since 1806. The existence of local seals is proven since 1685. The seals of reeve and court displayed in a round shield a church, all surrounded by the nebuly bordure of the Counts of Fürstenberg. All seals since the 19th century displayed a church with belfry at sinister. A coat of arms was adopted in 1905.
