Zeitz has slightly under 40,000 inhabitants and is part of Burgenlandkreis county. The flag is green-white-red the arms are used on the flag at festivities, but its use is not prescribed by the statutes. The arms show St. Michael killing the dragon. Source: Günther 1996b.
