Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent parted by a saltire Azure, at sinister Azure a Marian Crown Or over a crescent recumbent of the same, chief chequered of Argent and Gules.
Meaning:
The chequered chief displays a Cistercian fess and is referring to the Niederschönenfeld Nunnery of the Order. The nunnery owned most local estates until its secularisation in 1803. Crown and crescent are attributes of St. Mary. Here they are referring to the Benedictine Neuburg Nunnery. The saltire is the attribute of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. The tinctures blue and white are those of the Wittelsbach kin. They are symbolising that the area belonged to the ducal Bavarian district (German: Amt) of Schrobenhausen.
