Shield Gules, an intertwined linden branch Argent with four leaves on either side, chief Argent a throughout cross Sable.
Meaning:
The red field displays the family arms of the Lords of Seckendorff, local rulers since the 13th century, in counterchanged tinctures. Obernzenn had been the centre of their lordship. The kin had also the local cognisance until 1848 and owns nowadays still two local castles. The cross is representing the Teutonic Order, which had been an important manorial lord and the right of patronage of the local parish church. Otto Hupp (1925) displayed just the family arms of the Seckendorff kin as town arms.
